Fagin's Arrival

Fagin’s Troubled Tail begins with his arrival into the Shelter, having been found abandoned in a cat carrier. When he first arrived, he was a timid boy who needed time to adjust.

When he first arrived at the Shelter, he was very timid and unsure of his surroundings. He would often sit quietly at the back of his pen, watching the world go by. Staff gave him plenty of space and gentle encouragement, and it wasn’t long before he began to respond to kindness. With the help of our team (and a few bags of Dreamies!) he slowly came out of his shell and began to show us his gentle nature. Fagin quickly became a firm favourite at the Shelter and quickly adapted to Shelter life!

Fagin’s Forever Home

Despite his sweet personality, Fagin struggled to receive applications and we shared his story online in the hope of finding him a home. The response was fantastic, and not long after, Fagin’s perfect match was found.

Now going by the name of Axl, he is living such a fantastic life full of love and affection with his new family. His family have told us that he is settling into his forever home and have told us:

“He was extremely shy when we first brought him home and stayed in his carrier for a while. Eventually, he spotted his bed and made himself comfortable there. Little by little, he started to explore, although he’d always retreat back for security. He’s definitely growing in confidence now though! His favourite hiding spot is under the settee, and he loves sitting on the windowsill to watch the world go by. He is the sweetest little boy ever and so well behaved – except when we gave him a slice of ham, and he nearly took my fingers off! We can’t believe how lucky we are to be his adoptive parents.”

We are over the moon to see that our rehoming team have managed to find another perfect match for one of our animals. It is so heartwarming to see Axl getting the second chance in life that he deserves.
