Delilah’s Arrival
Delilah is a beautiful domestic long haired cat that came to the Shelter on 5th September 2025 after being signed over into our care. Unfortunately, she found it difficult living with children in her previous home. When she first arrived, she settled in straight away and quickly became a favourite among staff and volunteers. She had a calm and affectionate nature and absolutely loved being brushed!
Delilah loved spending time with people and would always be waiting by her pen door, ready to greet anyone who came by. Though she loved to be with people and had plenty of time to play, she reallu enjoyed her cosy naps in the sunshine as well.
We knew from the start that once Delilah was ready to be rehomed, she wouldn’t be waiting long. When she was featured in our Sunday Spotlight series, her story captured the hearts of our followers and her story was shared far and wide.
Delilah’s Forever Home
To the surprise of no one, Delilah managed to find her forever home within the same month of entering the Shelter! After her post on our social media channels received a huge amount of engagement, she managed to find her forever home in late September.
Delilah’s new family told us:
“She’s settling in perfectly. She’s met family members and is warming up to them daily. Thank you for allowing us to share our home with her. She’s a perfect friend to us, she loves a cuddle and a fuss and is even enjoying toys and treats.”
We are so pleased to see Delilah thriving in her forever home, surrounded by love and comfort. Rehoming animals like Delilah is only possible thanks to the incredible support of our community. Every donation helps us give more animals the happy ending they deserve.
