Maureen Higgins

In loving memory of Maureen Higgins (16/04/1940 – 10/07/2026).

Maureen was an avid animal lover, she regularly donated to Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter. Over the years, Maureen had several dogs and loved and cared for them all deeply.

Maureen will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She was a beloved wife of the late John, much-loved mam of Alan, Brian and Gillian, loving mother-in-law to Gillian, Gary and Irene. Also a devoted and adored nana of John, Lee, Laurie and Kelsey and great nana of Billy, Charlotte and Arabella and a dear sister, sister-in-law and auntie. Also sadly missed by nana’s little boy Buster and by all who knew her.

She will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever.

She has now been reunited with her beloved husband, John and all her dogs who gained their angel wings.

Donations received from her funeral on 28/07/26 have been sent to Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter, totalling £200. Thank you to all who donated.
