A Lovely Day In The Sun

On the 12th of July, the Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter held its annual Summer Fair !

Despite being one of the hottest days of the year, our supporters came together for a fantastic day of fun and to help raise money for our cause.

The Shelter grounds were full of life. Visitors browsed a wide range of craft and food stalls, while younger guests enjoyed games and colouring activities throughout the day.

Due to the extreme heat, we made the difficult decision to cancel our on-site dog show to protect animal welfare. Instead, we moved the event online and were still able to celebrate your wonderful entries virtually.

Thanks to your support, we raised over £4,000 to help care for animals in need.

We’re already looking ahead to our Christmas Market in December and hope to welcome you back for more festive fundraising.
