Physical goods donation station reopens, but more cash contributions needed
11th December 2023 UncategorizedThe Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter is pleased to announce the reopening of its physical goods donation station at Benton North Farm daily from 11am to 4pm. However this festive period, it asks people not to purchase goods-to-donate and instead consider a cash donation, ensuring that support can go to where it is needed most.
The shelter is in good shape regarding essential supplies, and the focus has shifted to ensuring that funds are available for critical care expenses. Cash donations provide the flexibility needed to address various needs, especially veterinary bills that can quickly accumulate.
While cash contributions are encouraged, the shelter is still accepting used goods, but sadly, we cannot accept duvets, pillows, cushions, carpets, or open food. Donors are asked to ensure that items are clean and in working order before dropping them off.
The donation area is open daily from 11am to 4pm at Benton North Farm, Benton Lane, Longbenton, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8EH.
