Cat Number 2545 – Age (approx) 12 years – Arrival Date November 2022.

Jack is an outdoor cat who could live with children aged 10+.

Jack is a shy older cat who is struggling with the busy cattery environment. Jack spends most of his time hiding in his pen but if you approach him carefully he will let you give him a little cheek rub.

Jack would appreciate a quiet new home as he has been quite stressed out in his previous home with the addition of a new baby. Jack just needs a little time to come round and be comfortable enough to show what a loving lad he can be. Before the new baby, Jack’s previous owners mentioned he even liked to be held for a cuddle, would come to sit on your lap occasionally.

Jack has a grade 3 heart murmur. Heart murmurs are common in cats, and grade 3 is the middle of the scale. Whilst it’s not causing Jack any issues at the moment, please note that if he did need any further heart investigation or treatment in the future, it may be excluded by pet insurance as a pre-existing condition.

*Update 23/01/23*

Jack is currently in a temporary foster home, and has come out of his shell the minute he got settled! He comes out for head rubs and is very much enjoying the cosier environment with his new foster carers. Jack will be staying in his temporary foster home until it is time to meet a new potential forever home!
