Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter’s 100K in May – Paws for a cause, is a walking challenge to raise vital funds for the animals in our care. Whether you’re an avid walker or just looking for a reason to get moving, this challenge is for everyone! The best part? You can take part anywhere, anytime throughout May.

The goal is to walk 100 kilometres over the month of May. You can choose how to complete the distance—whether you run, walk or swim you spread over several days, or the whole month.

Anywhere! Whether it’s your favourite park, your local neighbourhood, or even your treadmill at home, you can complete your 100K in a way that suits you best.

Yes! If you sign up before the 23rd April you’ll have the option to purchase a Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter t-shirt to wear proudly during your challenge.

A £10 registration fee secures your spot and includes a medal to celebrate your achievement! We encourage participants to raise additional funds through sponsorships—every pound makes a difference. Set up a Enthuse page and make your steps count for the animals in need.
