Troy

Troy is looking for an adult only home. He could live with other calm dogs and potentially cats and small animals.

Troy is such a beautiful soul who arrived into our care in a very sorry state after being found wet, cold and shivering on the banks of the River Tyne. The kind folk who found him, and got him to safety, assumed he had been in the river. The poor lad looked broken and seemed to have given up.

Once Troy had been seen by our vet, had a bath, started much needed medication, had a warm bed and a full tummy, we started to see more of his true personality.

Troy is a truly lovely lad who we are loving learning more about each day. He is an older boy but can also still be daft as a brush, silly and also stubborn at times!

Troy has needed a lot of help and frequent medications to get him ready to begin his journey to a new life and, understandably, can be a little grumpy when getting his eye and ear drops. Troy was very underweight when he was found and is now quite greedy when it comes to food.

We suspect Troy to be partially blind and potentially deaf – or certainly hard of hearing.

Troy would love to find an experienced home who have the time to help him settle into his new life who also have the patience and understanding to work around his quirks. He seems to have had a really tough life so far, and is very much in need of a lovely warm home to spend his senior years with the love and support of a family he can call his own, ensuring he never has to face such hardships again.
