Harper is looking for an adult only home and to be the only animal on the home.
Harper arrived into our care in a bit of a sorry state. He was very thin, had no muscle and had, what we believe to be, pressure sores on his legs. It took some time to heal his wounds and start to gain weight and muscle but he is now starting to much look much brighter and healthier.
Harper, can be an anxious boy. He often seems under-socialised and like he is experiencing the world for the first time. However, is also a bundle of absolute joy and has such a gorgeous innocent energy about him – almost puppy-like. He gets very excited when he meets new people and his entire bottom wiggles from side to side. The more time we spend with Harper, the more we are privileged to see him open up and show his true heart of gold and playful ways.
This lovely boy has come on in leaps and bounds since first arriving in our care – he loves engaging with our staff and volunteers and loves having a good run round when let off-lead in our enclosed areas! He loves playing fetch with his ball and will drop it when asked. He also now responds well to ‘sit’ and walks nicely on his lead.
Harper’s new family will likely face some challenges in the early days, whilst helping him adjust to life as a pampered pooch, but we feel his love of toys and treats will help with his training and it should be an absolute pleasure to play a part in his journey to becoming a more well-adjusted dog so he can move on from his sadder days to begin living a life full of love and adventure!
