Gus could live with children aged 10+. He could potentially live with other dogs and cats or small animals, although we have no history of his behaviour around such animals.

Gus is a lovely young lad who can find new environments overwhelming and be spooked by loud noises.

Despite not being at the shelter for long, he is already beginning to slowly settle in and gaining some confidence.

He has been a gentle and pleasant boy to spend time with and get to know. He absolutely loves a good sniff and is usually found with his nose down, following a smell! He loves getting out and about on his walks and exploring his surroundings. He has also enjoyed playing with toys – both on his own and with people. His favourite toys appear to be balls – he likes to carry them around!

Gus would benefit from a family who have knowledge / experience of his breeds, who can best help him to find his feet and feel safe and secure after being brought into the shelter having been found as a stray.

Gus will need to undergo surgery on his eyelids in the near future (which will be covered by the shelter). Any potential rehomers should be aware that any potential future issues with his eyes will likely be classed as a pre-existing condition and will not be covered by pet insurance. The rehoming will discuss his medical history in more detail with any successful applicants.

This sweet young lad has been such a well-behaved boy during his stay here at the shelter, even when he’s felt worried about the strange new environment. We have no doubt that he will absolutely thrive once in the security of a loving forever home and will reward his family by continuing to reveal more and more of his wonderful character.
