Gumby is currently under the care of our vet awaiting sign off from his neuter procedure. We will gather applications for him and reach out to the successful candidate once he is ready to begin his road to rehome.

Gumby could live with children aged 13+. He would like to be the only dog in the home, but could potentially live with cats or other small animals, although we have no history of his behaviour around such animals.

Gumby is a typical Dachshund, friendly, confident and loves the sound of his own voice at times! He is a super happy little chap who is happy to go off independently exploring when out with staff, but also always comes back to check in and for some fuss, unless he thinks you’re going to “catch” him and put him back on lead, then he will run away again!

Gumby has shown reactivity towards other dogs here, he doesn’t like other dogs being up close to him, but he’s much more comfortable at a distacne. He will need a family who are capable and confident of managing these behaviours and who are able to dedicate the time and training he needs to help him to work towards more positive and appropriate reactions around other dogs.

He is a cheeky little chap who will, no doubt, bring a lot of joy and laughter to his new family.
