Diego is looking for an adult-only home and would like the be the only pet in the home.

Diego is a lovely lad who sadly finds the world quite an overwhelming place!

He is very worried by strangers and other dogs, once he is comfortable with you – he really relies on his humans for comfort and reassurance. As he is such a nervous boy, this does come out as reactivity when he is feeling overwhelmed and so he needs experienced and confident owners who can provide him with ongoing support and training to help him be able to manage his fears more appropriately. He will need a calm and quiet home, with walks in quiet areas / at quiet times of day whilst he is building his confidence and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place.

He is still such a young boy who sadly doesn’t appear to have the socialisation he should’ve had in his early days. He is very easily overstimulated and can still show some puppy behaviours, such as mouthing. Once comfortable with you, he loves to hop on your knee for a fuss and will show his playful side, chasing after toys.

Diego will undoubtedly require time, patience and effort from his new family to help him become the best, most confident version of himself. This sweet boy has so much love to give and we know he has the potential to make a fantastic new family member to the right, dedicated family. He so deserves to finally have the security and support of a true forever home.
