Devon

Devon is currently under the care of our vet. We will gather applications for him and reach out to the successful candidate once he is ready to begin her road to rehome.

Devon could live with children aged 10+. He could potentially live with other dogs, but no cats or small animals.

Devon is a handsome lad who has bags of character!

He is a true gentleman and is a pleasure to spend time with.

Devon has previously been a working dog. This means he has a high chase drive and may never have lived in a home environment before / experienced the typical life of a ‘pet’ dog.

Helping Devon to adjust to his new life as a loved family member will no doubt bring some challenges, but will also be an incredibly rewarding experience for the right, dedicated family.

Devon will need a very active home who can keep up with his high energy levels. He will need a family who are able to provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation to ensure he can the happiest, healthiest version of himself and to provide him with a suitable outlet for all that working breed energy! A family who would be interested in getting Devon involved in some sort of scent work would be an additional bonus.

Devon has experienced a few minor health issues that have required treatment. Whilst there are no further concerns, any potential rehomers should be aware that these are likely to be classed as pre-existing conditions and be excluded by pet insurance. The rehoming team will be happy to discuss Devon’s medical history in more detail with any successful applicants.

Devon will absolutely require some time, patience and effort from his forever family whilst he discovers a whole new life that he has never previously had. He will need a committed and experienced family who are willing to learn along the way with him.

Devon has been an absolute delight to care for during his time here at the shelter. This lovely lad instantly puts a smile on everyone’s face, he so deserves to find a forever family who can finally show him all the wonderful things life has to offer.
