Anton is looking for an adult only home. He could potentially live with another dog, cat, or small animals.

Anton came to us a very scared boy. He had been found tied to a fence and was understandably petrified. He didn’t know the people approaching him were there to help and warned them away with grumbles.

Anton then arrived at the shelter and displayed the same fear response – he was so scared he didn’t even want to be looked at; he was completely shut down.

Fast forward to now, and Anton has done amazingly! He is beginning to show us his fun and goofy side- he has grown very attached to certain members of staff and is really opening up with play bows, kisses, and leaning in for snuggles and fuss!

Anton still has a long way to go – he is still a very scared boy which shows on his walks when outside of the shelter safety…but day by day, we see him sniff more, wag his tail a bit harder, and hold his head a little higher.

Anton will need a very patient and experienced home to help him understand the world around him isn’t so scary and that he can be the playful pup we see flickers of here! We just know with the right home, and time, he will be an amazing friend to his new family as they help this special boy discover his true courage and capability.

We have no doubt watching him learn and grow will bring true pride and joy to the home lucky enough to help him along his way!
