Andy is currently under the care of the vet awaiting sign-off from his neutering procedure. We will gather application forms and reach out to the successful applicant once he is ready for rehoming.

Andy could live with children aged 13+ and could potentially live with other dogs, but no cats or small animals.

Andy is beautiful gentleman, both inside and out. He is a typical Akita and can be aloof with strangers initially, but is a super friendly lad once he’s gotten to know you.

Once Andy is comfortable with you, he quickly shows his playful side and loves to spend time with his human friends. He loves being made a fuss of and getting out and about for his walks and playtime.

He has also been well-behaved when meeting other dogs in our care and has even enjoyed going for walks off-site with some canine friends.

Andy arrived at the shelter as a stray and so we have no background information on his previous life. This handsome chap hasn’t put a paw wrong whilst in our care and has been a pleasure to spend time with and get to know. He would be best suited to a family who are able to take him on plenty of lovely, long walks and provide him with both mental and physical enrichment. A family with experience / knowledge of the breed would also be beneficial.
