Alfie

Alfie could live with children aged 10+ and would like to be the only animal in the home.

Alfie is a lovely little lad who has swiftly made friends with our staff and volunteers here at the shelter. He is always pleased to see us and loves a good fuss!

He can also have a playful side and will enjoy playing with soft toys and balls when in the mood!

Alfie’s previous home mentioned that he was reactive towards other dogs when out on walks and had some issues with other dogs in the home. Whilst we have not seen any of this behaviour in our care, it is important for any potential rehomers to keep in mind as they will need to be confident managing this behaviour and putting some training in place should it arise again.

His previous owners also mentioned that he didn’t like being left alone and so he will need a family who are around a lot of the time to keep him company, who can slowly build up any periods of time he is left and work on helping him overcome his separation anxiety.

Alfie has received veterinary treatment for some minor health issues whilst in our care which, whilst now resolved, will be classed as a pre-existing condition and will not be covered by pet insurance should he have any reoccurrences in the future. The rehoming team will discuss his veterinary history in more detail with any successful applicants.

This little lad is such a friendly and pleasant boy, he is a pleasure to spend time with. He is so loving and full of character, we have no doubt he will make a brilliant addition to his forever home.
