Shadow

Shadow could live with children aged 10+ and is looking for a home where she will have outdoor access.

Shadow is a lovely little lady who has come on in leaps and bounds with her confidence since first arriving here at the shelter.

Initially, she was very overwhelmed and would spend most of her time hiding away. However, with the patience of our dedicated team spending time with her, she began to realise she could trust us and show us more and more of her sweet little character.

She loves Dreamies – they definitely helped in convincing her to be our friend! Once she is comfortable with you, she is very confident and will be straight onto your lap to be made a fuss of.

She has also now begun showing us her playful side. She is a very playful girl, she enjoys chasing catnip toys round but absolutely loves playing with interactive toys with her humans.

Shadow can be quite a sensitive girl. We have very little information about her life prior to arriving at the shelter, but we do know she was displaying stress-related behaviours in her previous home.

Shadow would be best suited to a calm and quiet home who can offer her the time, patience and gentle encouragement she needs whilst she finds her feet and adjusts to her new surroundings. She would love a family who have lots of time to spend with her, as being in the company of her trusted humans is her favourite thing. She would also like a well-stocked treat cupboard and toy box!

Shadow has experienced some minor health issues during her time with us, including treatment for skin issues. Whilst now resolved and no further treatment is currently needed, any potential rehomers should be aware that, if she were to have any future flare-ups, this is likely to be classed as a pre-existing condition and will not be covered by pet insurance. The rehoming team will discuss her medical history in more detail with any successful applicants.

This sweet little lady has been an absolute pleasure to get to know during her time here at the shelter and watching her grow in confidence and allowing us to see her true character as she became more comfortable has been incredibly rewarding. This wonderful girl has so much love to give and we have no doubt she will make an incredible addition to her lucky forever family.
