Millie is an outdoor cat, who would prefer an adult only home.

Millie is a truly beautiful girl inside and out! She has a lot of love to give, and she loves nothing more than getting fuss. Millie was a bit unsure when she first arrived in the shelter, so we got to know her sassy side of personality at first, however now that she’s settled in, she’s a very confident, friendly and loving girl.

Millie absolutely adores attention, she’s not shy to make new friends and ask for some fuss. When she’s in the mood for a cuddle, she even treats strangers like they’re her best friends, she loves to be close to you so she often either gets straight into your lap, or jump up on the cat tree to stand closer to you if you’re standing up. She starts purring away as soon as you start stroking her, and she likes to nudge her head into your hands, or even gently grab your hand with her paws and give you little licks to show you her appreciation!

Millie is known to have a preference for toileting outside, and initially struggled to adapt to using a litter tray whilst in the shelter. Although she does now use her litter tray whilst confined to indoors, it may be that she will require outdoor access for toileting once she’s in a home again. For this reason we would like her to go to a home with unlimited outdoor access, where she’s allowed to pop in and out when needed, without being stuck indoors for prolonged periods of time.

We know that it takes Millie a bit of time to get comfortable and come out of her shell, so she will need a quiet, adult only home with patient owners willing to give her a chance to really come out of her shell. We know that Millie doesn’t like dogs, so she isn’t suitable to be rehomed with a dog in the household.

Due to a national shortage of cat vaccinations, we are currently experiencing delays in rehoming some of our cats.

This shortage and delay may mean that some cats are needing to leave the shelter without their full vaccination course.

If you are successfully contacted to rehome a cat from us, our rehoming team will provide further detail about the shortage and what it means for you and your new cat.
