Millie

Millie is looking for an adult only home and requires an indoor-only environment.

Millie is a sweet boy who is currently finding the shelter environment a little overwhelming.

He has spent a lot of his time hiding away, or perched on top of his door where he feels safe and can keep an eye on his surroundings.

Our dedicated team have been spending a lot of time with Millie, trying to encourage him to come out of his shell and, slowly but surely, he does seem to be warming up to us, he is now spending more and more time in the front of his pen in his cat tree and doesn’t immediately hide away from us anymore.

Millie’s previous home reported him as a laid-back chap who would sometimes sit on their laps and play with toys, so we know his current behaviour isn’t an accurate reflection of his true nature and unfortunately, he is just struggling to relax and let his guard down here at the shelter.

Millie needs a calm and quiet home with a family who can offer him the time, patience and understanding he needs whilst he finds his feet and adjusts to his new environment. He would benefit from lots of safe, cosy hiding spaces – particularly high-up spots, as that’s where he feels the most secure until he’s ready to start building his confidence with his new family.

We have no doubt that, once in the safety and security of a forever home, and with the love and gentle reassurance he needs from his family, Millie will soon be showing more and more of his true character and revealing what a sweet and lovely lad he is.
