Kate

Kate is currently under the care of the vet awaiting sign off for her spay procedure. We will gather applications and contact the successful applicant once she is ready for rehoming.

Kate could live with children aged 10+ and is looking for a home where she will have outdoor access.

Kate is a sweet young girl who, unfortunately, is finding the shelter environment difficult to cope with.

She currently spends most of her time hiding away out of sight in the back of her pen, feeling very overwhelmed.

However, when Kate is out of her pen and away from our busy main cattery area, we start to see more of her true character, she quickly becomes comfortable with attention and shows us what a friendly girl she is!

Our dedicated team have been spending time with Kate in her pen, to try and get her feeling more relaxed and enjoying her time here more. When our staff sit with her quietly, offering treats and reassurance, she has started letting her guard down a little more and will happily accept treats and some strokes.

Kate, heartbreakingly, was found abandoned in a cat carrier in a bush, so it’s no wonder she is feeling so worried and out of sorts. This poor young girl has had a really tough time recently and will need a family who can offer her the safety and security she is craving whilst she learns to build her confidence back up.

Despite how unhappy she is here at the shelter, Kate has already been able to show us glimpses of the sweet and loving girl she really is and we have no doubt that, in a calm and quiet home, with a family who can offer her the time, patience and gentle encouragement she needs, she will soon settle in and learn to trust again.

Kate has had a tough start to her young life, she so deserves a forever family who can ensure that, going forward, she will only know love, safety and security and be able to put her days of worry, stress and uncertainty far behind her. We have no doubt that this sweet little lady will make an incredibly rewarding addition to her forever home.
