Gunther is looking for an adult-only home and will require outdoor access.

Gunther is a very nervous and worried little lad who is currently feeling overwhelmed by the shelter environment.

He is a sensitive boy who is spooked very easily, however, he can slowly be won round with treats and particularly catnip – which he loves! He will typically avoid contact with our staff until they have sat calmly and quietly with him for a little while, before he begins to feel a little braver.

Gunther desperately needs a calm, quiet and experienced home who can offer him the time, patience and understanding he needs whilst he learns to build his confidence and trust his new family.

We have very limited background information on Gunther’s life prior to his arrival here at the shelter, but we do know he hasn’t had the greatest of starts to his young life. He needs a family who are able to help him be brave and discover that the world isn’t such a scary place. We have no doubt that, once in the safety and security of a forever home, he will soon be revealing more and more of his true, sweet nature to his new family.

Gunther will take time to settle into his new home and will require a family who are committed to helping him become the happiest version of himself, no matter how long it takes for him to realise he is safe, loved and can let his guard down. Although his journey may take a little while, we have no doubt he will make an incredibly rewarding companion for his forever family as they watch him come out of his shell and begin living his best life as he deserves.

Medical

Gunther has a unique physical difference, whilst this isn’t currently causing him any issues, it will be classed as a pre-existing condition and won’t be covered by pet insurance. The rehoming team will discuss this issue and Gunther’s veterinary history in further detail with any successful applicants.
