Stevie & Gracey could live with children aged 14+ and are looking for a home where they will have outdoor access. They would like a home with no other pets.

Gracey is currently under the care of the vet, she’s awaiting a sign-off after a dental procedure. We will start gathering application forms, and reach out to the successful candidates once she’s been signed off.

Gracey is the more confident of the two, and is normally first to come out. She likes a fuss and will rub into your hand for some attention. Gracey will also put her paws on your chest and try to push into you for more attention! She hasn’t shown any interest in toys at the shelter, but her previous owner said she enjoyed playing with string toys. Although she loves attention, she can get a little carried away and has given the occasional little nip so for this reason she will be best suited to older children. Gracey was nervous in her previous home of young children and although she hasn’t lived with a dog, her previous owner said she was very scared of any she met. Due to this Gracey will need a home on the quieter side, with no other pets other than her brother.

Stevie is a bit more nervous. He likes to spend time in his bed under the heat lamp. He is a sweet boy though, and will eventually come to you if you spend a bit of time in the pen with him. Once he knows you, he will come and push his head against you and he enjoys the attention. Stevie will be best suited to a home on the quieter side with older children as he found living with young kids stressful, same as his sister. Although he hasn’t shown a playful side at the shelter, he was also known to play with toys in his previous home, so his playful side may come out again once he’s settled into a new home.

Both Stevie and Gracey are a bit overweight, so they are looking for owners who will help them get on top of their health and lose a bit of weight. They are a very sweet pair, who will thrive in a calm environment.

Stevie has a grade 1-2 heart murmur. It’s on the lower end of the scale, and with grade 1-2 it can be stress-related. It’s not currently causing any issues, however it will likely be excluded by pet insurance as a pre-existing condition if it did need any investigations in the future.
