Edith is looking for an adult-only home and will require outdoor access.

Edith is a very nervous and worried little lady who is currently feeling overwhelmed by the shelter environment.

Sadly, she is struggling to let her guard down at the moment and isn’t yet comfortable with our staff. She spends most of her time hiding away in her safe spaces where she feels the most comfortable. She has begun to make small progress, however, and will now eat treats whilst our staff are spending some one-on-one time with her in her pen. She remains a very shy and wary girl, though, who is still learning to trust her humans.

Edith desperately needs a calm, quiet and experienced home who can offer her the time, patience and understanding she needs whilst she learns to build her confidence and trust her new family.

We have very limited background information on Edith’s life prior to her arrival here at the shelter, but we do know she hasn’t had the greatest of starts to her young life. She needs a family who are able to help her be brave and discover that the world isn’t such a scary place – a family who can continue the socialisation she has missed out on in her early life.

Edith will take time to settle into her new home and will require a family who are committed to helping her become the happiest version of herself, no matter how long it takes for her to realise she is safe, loved and can let her guard down. Although her journey may take a little while, we have no doubt she will make an incredibly rewarding companion for her forever family as they watch her come out of her shell and begin living her best life as she deserves.
