Goku could live with children aged 14+ and requires an indoor-only environment.

Goku is a sweet and sensitive boy who took a little while to adjust to the shelter environment.

He is easily overwhelmed and so really struggled initially with all of the strange new noises and things around him. He spent a lot of time hiding away in his safe spaces and feeling very unsure of our staff.

However, as time has gone on and Goku has begun to feel more comfortable, with the patience and understanding of our dedicated team, he has been letting his guard down, revealing more and more of his true, lovely character every day. He is now showing us his playful side and how much he enjoys interacting with toys. He also loves when his human friends sit calmly and quietly with him and he will now even climb onto our laps and purr away whilst getting a fuss!

Goku has been used to a quiet home previously and, since he struggles with change, would definitely be best suited to a calm and quiet home environment again. He needs a family who can offer him the time, patience and understanding he needs whilst he builds his confidence and adapts to his new surroundings.

He has been such a brave lad during his stay with us and has made great progress here at the shelter, it is obvious that he is a social boy underneath his initial anxieties and he just needs a little time to find his feet and settle in. We have no doubt that he will only continue to go from strength-to-strength once in the safety and security of a loving forever home. It has been an absolute pleasure to watch Goku’s development and we can’t wait to see him spoilt rotten, living his best life – as he deserves – with his forever family.

Medical

Goku has required treatment for a brief period of vomiting. Whilst now resolved, any potential rehomers should be aware that this is likely to be classed as a pre-existing condition and won’t be covered by pet insurance. The rehoming team will discuss Goku’s veterinary history in further detail with any successful applicants.
