Nala is looking for an adult-only home. She would like to be the only cat in the home and requires an indoor-only environment.

Nala is a beautiful girl who has had a bit of a tough time lately.

She previously came from a busy home with several children and another cat, which she found really stressful and she has had a hard time adjusting to the strange new shelter environment, too.

Slowly but surely, she has begun letting her guard down with our staff and she will now often be sat by the front of her pen waiting for us at mealtimes. She still remains cautious about being stroked, but she has accepted some light pets.

Her biggest progress is that she is now comfortable enough to show us her playful side! She absolutely loves playing chase and catching her feather wand toy and this is a great way for her humans to spend time building up some trust with her. She also loves Lick-E-Lix treats and will happily take the tube out of our hand!

Nala would be best suited to a calm and quiet, adult-only home where she can really relax and decompress. Although she is having a bit of a difficult time adjusting to all the change she has experienced recently, it is clear to see she is trying so hard to be brave and really does want to let her guard down! We have no doubt that with the time, patience and gentle encouragement of her forever family, Nala will soon be coming out of her shell and revealing more and more of her true, sweet character. We have no doubt it will be incredibly rewarding for her forever home to be able to watch her learn to trust them and realise that she is safe, loved and settled.
