Bob could live with children age 10+. She would like to be the only cat in the home and will require outdoor access.

Bob is a very sweet and beautiful girl who is still finding her feet here at the shelter.  She was known to be timid in her previous home and is still timid here, however each day she is showing her personality a little more and coming out of her shell.  When she is approached in her pen, she is initially a little hesitant to come out of her bed or cat tree, but if you sit with her for a little while, she will come for cuddles and affection.  She is an inquisitive girl who likes exploring the cattery, but she’s easily spooked and she’ll run back to the safety of her pen if there’s any sudden movement or sound.

Bob displayed some stress-related behaviours in her previous home which we believe are due to being unhappy living with other cats, so she would be best suited to a home without any other feline companions. She did also live with a dog, who she was said to get along with, so she could potentially live with another calm and well-mannered dog again with slow, careful introductions.

Overall she is a lovely and friendly natured cat with so much love to give. Bob would love a home where her new family will be happy to give her time and space to settle in, and where she can have outdoor access once she’s settled in. Due to her timid nature we do feel a home with older/cat savvy children would be best.

Medical:

Bob arrived in our care with some scabs on her skin and thinning fur. This has now resolved, but please note that if she did have another flare-up in the future it will likely be excluded by pet insurance companies as a pre-existing condition.
