Leroy

Leroy requires an adult-only home. He would eventually like some outdoor access once he has built some more confidence.

Leroy is a sensitive lad who is struggling with the shelter environment.

Sadly, Leroy has lacked a lot of the socialisation he should’ve had in his early years and does really struggle to adapt to new surroundings and can take a while to warm up to new people. He currently spends most of his time hiding away, not wanting to interact with our staff, although he has recently begun to accept treats from us, so we are beginning to see some small progress.

Leroy’s previous owner stated that, although he is a shy boy, once he’s comfortable with you, he is a very loving lad and so we feel that, once in the safety and security of a forever home, with the dedicated patience of his family, he will learn to trust them and show them what a sweet boy he can be.

Leroy needs a calm and quiet home, preferably with experience of timid cats to help build his confidence and allow him to let his guard down and come out of his shell. He will undoubtedly need time, patience and understanding whilst he adapts to his new environment and learns that he is safe.

This sweet soul is going to take a while to feel at home with his new family. He needs a family who are prepared to give him the love and commitment he deserves and allow him to go at his own pace. We have no doubt that watching him learn to relax and feel secure with his forever family will be an incredibly rewarding experience.
