Alan has a potential family lined up. Whilst he remains in our care, we continue to welcome applications.

Alan could live with children aged 10+. He would like to be the only pet in the home and is looking for a home where he will have outdoor access.

Alan is a lovely lad who has really let his guard down since first arriving here at the shelter.

When he first arrived, he was quite an unhappy boy and would ask for space from our staff. However, it was soon discovered that he had an abscess on the side of his face, that would’ve been causing him a lot of pain and discomfort.

Since having the abscess treated and being moved to a quieter area of our cattery, away from other cats, Alan has become a much happier boy and is now showing us his true, sweet character! He will now meow at us for attention and enjoys being made a fuss of, rubbing his head into our hands for more! He also has a playful side, he enjoys playing with wand toys but particularly loves his catnip toys!

Alan is quite a sensitive lad and lived with a dog previously, which he found very stressful. He has also been much more relaxed since moving to an area of the shelter away from other cats, so we feel he would be happiest being the only pet in his forever home.

Any potential rehomers should be aware that, whilst Alan has received the necessary treatment for the abscess on his face and it is now healed with no further concerns, if he were to develop any future abscesses / related issues, then this would be classed as a pre-existing condition and will not be covered by pet insurance. The rehoming team will discuss this in more detail with any successful applicants.

This handsome boy would be best suited to a calm and quiet home where he can fully relax and continue to reveal more and more of his sweet personality to his forever family, who can offer him the time, patience and understanding he needs whilst he adjusts to his new environment. Alan is such a big character and we know he will make a brilliant addition to his lucky forever home.
