Princess' Journey

Princess came to the Shelter in October 2025, an eight year old cat who was understandably nervous in her new surroundings. At first, she could be unsure and would sometimes hiss, but it did not take long for her true personality to begin shining through. Once she started to feel safe, Princess revealed herself to be a very sweet and affectionate girl who simply needed time, patience and understanding before she could start her journey to her forever home.

After going up for rehoming in November, Princess unfortunately struggled for applications, receiving 0 in nearly a month. To help her, we shared an appeal for Princess in late December and our amazing community came together to help. Thanks to the incredible response from our community, her story reached far and wide, and we were soon delighted to see applications coming in. We are thrilled to share that Princess found her forever home in Late December 2025!

Her new family told us, “She has settled in really well, loves cuddling up on the settee and spent the night cuddled into me in bed purring. She’s such a sweetie and has used her litter tray, eaten a small amount of food and enjoyed a few treats. She has the run of the house, which she seems to enjoy.”
