Shadow

Shadow is looking for an adult only home. He would like to be the only animal in the home and will require outdoor access.

Shadow is a sweet lad who was a little overwhelmed when he first arrived here at the shelter and initially spent his time hiding away. However, he has always loved his food and quickly learnt when meal times are!

He will always be sat at the front of his pen waiting for his food, being very vocal to make sure he doesn’t miss out! Now that he has settled in, he is starting to show us more and more of his true character. Once he is comfortable with you, he loves being made a fuss of and is a super affectionate boy, climbing into our laps for a cuddle, purring away and rubbing into our hands to get as much attention as possible! He has also shown us his playful side and enjoys interacting with a variety of toys!

Shadow arrived into our care after being found as a stray and so, unfortunately, we have very little background information on him. He has, however, shown negative reactions to the other cats in our cattery and so we feel he would be happiest as the only pet in the home.

Shadow has required some treatment for his skin after arriving into our care with, what was suspected to be, a ruptured cat bite abscess. Whilst he has healed well and the issue is now resolved, any potential rehomers should be aware that, if he were to have any similar issues in the future, these will be classed as a pre-existing condition and are unlikely to be covered by pet insurance. The rehoming team will discuss his veterinary history in more detail with any successful applicants.

This handsome lad would be best suited to a calm and quiet home who can offer him the time, patience and understanding he will need whilst he adjusts to his new environment. We have no doubt that, once he’s found his feet, this lovely boy will be an absolute joy to have and will return his forever family’s love and affection tenfold – especially if they have a well-stocked treat cupboard and toy box!
