Chow

Chow could live with children aged 10+ and is looking for a home where he will have outdoor access.

Chow is a sweet young lad who took a little time to settle in here at the shelter.

Initially, he was feeling very overwhelmed and would spend all of his time hiding away. However, with the patience of our dedicated team spending time quietly sitting with him, he has realised that we’re not quite so scary after all and now loves getting as much attention as he possibly can!

He has now come out of his shell a lot more and is showing us more of his true, affectionate character. He loves spending time with his people and will be quite vocal for someone to come and give him a fuss if he knows we’re around! As soon as we go into his pen, he will follow us round, purring and rubbing against our legs.

He also loves his food and so this definitely helped us to win him round and begin building a bond with him, to enable him to let his guard down and start to trust us. He is also gradually beginning to show more of an interest in playing, as he is still a young boy, we would imagine he will enjoy some interactive playtime with his family as his confidence continues to grow.

Chow would be best suited to a calm and quiet home who can give him the time, patience and understanding he needs whilst he finds his feet and adapts to his new surroundings. We have no doubt that, once in a supportive forever home, and with some gentle encouragement, Chow will only continue to go from strength to strength and will soon be showing his forever family what a happy and loving lad he is and be showering them with plenty of affection.
