Cratchit could live with children aged 10+ and is looking for a home where he will have outdoor access.

Cratchit is a beautiful, big lad who has settled in well here at the shelter.

Cratchit arrived into our care after being found as a stray and so, sadly, we have no background information on his previous life. We suspect he has spent a lot of his time outdoors, however, he is a very affectionate boy and so he has clearly been a loved family member at some point in his life.

Although Cratchit can be a little unsure of new people initially, he warms up quickly and is incredibly loving with those he is comfortable with.

Cratchit arrived into our care with issues with his eyes, which would have been very uncomfortable for him, despite this, he still remained such a good boy and didn’t make any fuss when getting his eye drops. He loves his food and treats and so we always made sure to reward him with some of his favourite snacks after having his eye drops done, to make sure he stayed our friend!

Cratchit has had to undergo surgery on his eyes and, whilst the issues are now resolved, any potential rehomers should be aware that, if he were to have any future issues with his eyes, these will likely be classed as a pre-existing condition and will not be covered by pet insurance.

This lovely, handsome lad has been a pleasure to care for during his time here at the shelter. He has so much love to give and we have no doubt that he will make a brilliant addition to his new family. He would like his new home to have lots of lovely, safe outdoor space for him to explore, so he can still enjoy the freedom and enrichment of some outdoor time that he has been used to.
