Izzy- Dog Number 928 – Age (approx) 10 Years old – Jack Russell Terrier – Arrival Date September 2020
Izzy needs to be in an adult only home with no small animals but she could live with another dog.
Izzy can be a shy girl but she does want to meet you and introduce herself, however she wants to do it calmly to make sure your not going to rush her into receiving a fuss. Izzy needs a calm, understanding forever home.
Izzy is a loving, inquisitive girl who acts like a puppy and forgets her age at times. She loves to come up and check in with people to make sure you’re still there. She loves to chase a tennis ball, until it stops, then she waits for it to move again.
Izzy isn’t entirely comfortable being stroked and she prefers just a head scratch. She will try and remove herself from the situation if it becomes to much for her. If Izzy becomes uncomfortable and cant get away she will let you know she is unhappy. Izzy does have arthritis and is on lifelong pain relief, we believe this may play a part in her discomfort at being overly fussed and handled.
Izzy is looking for an extremely patient and understanding home, that will enable her to feel comfortable and not under pressure.
