Thank you for your interest in volunteering for us here at Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter.

Please read the information below and fill out the form attached at the bottom of this page to confirm your date.

Your volunteer day will be held at our Benton Shelter (full address below). When you arrive, please go to main reception and let a member of staff know you are here for a volunteer day. Once everyone has arrived we will do a quick health and safety briefing before getting started. You will be given an hour for lunch and we do allow time at the end of the day for some socialising with our animals.

We always ask volunteers to wear old clothing and sensible footwear as duties can be both indoors and outdoors and we never know what the weather is going to be like. Your day could consist of painting, gardening, weeding, litter picking or setting up for events as a few examples.

We do have parking on site, please ensure to collect a visitors pass for your cars on arrival. You can find us at Benton North Farm, Benton Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8EH.

Please note all volunteers must be over the age of 18.
