George

By | Cats

George – Cat Number 770 – Age (approx) 6 months old – Arrival Date October 2020

George is an outdoor cat who can be rehomed with kids age 7+.

George is sweet as pie! It only takes him a minute to suss out who you are and from there on he will be your new best friend. He adores attention and will be straight up on your lap given the chance. George loves his playtime and he can be a cheeky monkey and give your hands a nip when he gets carried away playing.

Despite him being so confident and affectionate with us, George is easily spooked and he is flighty with sudden movements. He is looking for a calm household that can offer him all the affection he desires and continue growing into a wonderful young man.

Whilst in our care George has received treatment for a condition called Campylobacter this is essentially a bacterium which causes food poisoning. It most commonly manifests in cats as diarrhoea. George is now clear of all symptoms, he has been tested negative for Campylobacter and no further treatment is currently required. Campylobacter is a bacterium that commonly lives in the gut of cats but can develop into illness at times of stress.

Once home George will need to be monitored for any periods of diarrhoea, as campylobacter can manifest itself in stressful situations, such as going into a new home. If any symptoms appear then his new owners will need to book George into the vets at the earliest convenience to discuss any need for treatment. Please note that insurance companies are likely to add an exclusion with this being a pre-existing condition. We would advise any potential rehomers to discuss this with a pet insurance provider of their choice.

If you are interested in rehoming George, please fill out the application form below.

Please note: due to limited resources we are unable to get back to everyone. If you do not hear from us you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

Percy is a beautiful young chap, once you give him a bit of time to get to know you he is really happy to be stroked and gives amazing cuddles.

Percy is nervous at first and he is known to have a little hiss every now and then if feeling unsure, for this reason he would be best suited to a home with older kids. He comes around quickly once he realises that you mean no harm and he will have a lot of love to offer to his new family.

Whilst in our care Percy has received treatment for a condition called Campylobacter this is essentially a bacterium which causes food poisoning. Tom & Jerry – Cat Numbers 947&958 – Age (approx) 6.5 months old – Arrival Date December 2020

Tom & Jerry are outdoor cats who can be rehomed with kids age 5+.

Tom & Jerry are a lovely pair of young brothers looking for their forever home together. They are both incredibly loving and playful, they are typical mischievous kittens and everything is a toy or a game for them. They both very much enjoy being cuddled, Tom prefers to be on the ground on all fours and will come to you when he is ready for his cuddles. Jerry loves to be picked up and cuddled and will often climb onto your lap as soon as you sit down.

Tom & Jerry were showing signs of stress in their previous home, they have been doing well in our care and we think this may be due to them having lived with young children. A home with kids slightly older would suit the two brothers best, to give them a nice calm environment to settle into. They will provide endless amounts of love and fun to their new family.

Smudge – Cat Number 998 – Age (approx) 6 years old – Arrival Date December 2020

Smudge is an outdoor cat who can be rehomed with kids age 12+.

Smudge is a very chatty girl who is usually at the front of her pen shouting for your attention. She very much enjoys attention and is usually purring away and nudging you for more attention. Smudge hasn’t shown any interest in toys while in our care but she loves exploring and watching the world go by out of the window.

Smudge was quite a bit shy when she first arrived in our care so it may take her a bit of time to settle into her new home. We were told by her previous owners that she is independent and gives affection on her terms, although these are not behaviours she is displaying in our care, her new home will need to take it into consideration as she may require more space at times.
