Oscar

By | Cats

Oscar – Cat Number 1288 – Age (approx) 6 years old – Arrival Date June 2021

Oscar is an outdoor cat who could live with children age 12+.

This fluffy charmer loves nothing more than attention! Oscar is very friendly and will instantly make new friends by rubbing his cheeks all over people purring away. He is very affectionate and is the happiest when you’re fussing him.

Oscar really he loves his playtime too, he has a lot of energy and he gets the zoomies when he’s ready to play. Being a curious and energetic chap, he loves to go out to explore, so an outdoor area for him to roam in is a must.

Oscar will give you a warning if something is not to his liking, so a home with older children would be best. He could possibly live with another cat but they would need to be willing to play together and be able to match Oscar’s high energy levels.

If you are interested in rehoming Oscar, please fill out the application form below.

Felix & Bobby

By | Cats

Felix & Bobby – Cat Numbers 1207 & 1208 – Ages (approx) 12 and 10-12 years old – Arrival Date April 2021

Felix and Bobby are outdoor cats that can be rehomed with children age 8+.

Felix and Bobby are two very sweet lads who are an absolute pleasure to be around. They originally arrived on our care in November and have sadly had to come back due to no fault of their own.

Both boys very much enjoy attention and will rub up to you for cuddles, they’re both confident and friendly and instantly love everyone. They always want to be close to you and will often take it in turns trying to cosy up on your lap, both purring away and gently nudging each other out of the way.

Don’t let their age fool you, they’re both still playful and inquisitive and love exploring. They both have a close bond, and despite having the odd grumble over their food, they can often be found snuggled up in their cat tree together or giving each other a groom. They’ve even been seen using a litter tray together side by side!

Felix and Bobby would suit a home that can offer both of them equal amounts of affection (the more, the better!), they would love a nice safe outdoor space to call their own as well.

Felix has an early stage heart murmur. Heart murmurs are quite common in cat and it’s not currently causing any problems and doesn’t require treatment, however it may affect his health in the future. Please note that it would also likely have an impact on your pet insurance as pre-existing conditions are often excluded.

If you are interested in rehoming Felix and Bobby, please fill out the application form below.

Please note: due to limited resources we are unable to get back to everyone. If you do not hear from us you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

Bear

By | Cats

Bear – Cat Number 1332 – Age (approx) 1 year old – Arrival Date July 2021

Bear is an outdoor cat, unfortunately Bear can’t be rehomed with children.

Bear has grown up on a farm and is looking for a loving forever home with plenty of outdoor access. She is a gorgeous young lady who loves people, she can be vocal for attention and she’s happy to meet anyone, she’ll run at you for attention and she’s so happy to be stroked she’ll instantly purr away and nudge you for more fuss.

Overall Bear is a little sweetheart who has settled well in the shelter environment and is happy being fussed by people but her new owners will need to understand that she is used to living on a farm and given the choice, will likely lead an independent lifestyle and may choose to spend a lot of time outside. She will need a home that’s happy to offer her plenty of outdoor access, a rural area would be absolutely ideal for her to explore. Bear is also known to hunt and her previous owners stated that she did bring home ‘presents’ on a regular basis so Bear’s new home will need to be okay with this. Bear will make a wonderful addition to the right family, given the freedom to roam and satisfy her curiosity, she will reward her owners with plenty of amazing cuddles.

If you are interested in rehoming Bear, please fill out the application form below.

Sherlock

By | Cats

Sherlock – Cat Number 1281 – Age (approx) 1-2 years old – Arrival Date June 2021

Sherlock is an outdoor cat who can be rehomed with children age 14+.

Sherlock is a sweet boy who enjoys a cuddle but sometimes it’s on his own terms. He’s quite a curious lad who is happy to get to know people and if he’s in the mood for some fuss, he’ll be purring away nudging you for attention.

Despite his young age, Sherlock likes to live a laid-back lifestyle whilst he’s in our care, he enjoys snoozing in his comfy bed and and takes things at a leisurely pace. He usually opts for sleepy time over play time and can be easily startled, so a home with older children would be best.

Sherlock arrived at our vets with an old eye injury, they believe there has been a bleed at the back of his eye but aren’t sure how much vision he has in it. The eye is causing no issues at present and therefore currently needs no treatment, however our vets have advised it could possibly cause future problems. As this is a pre-existing condition it is unlikely to be covered by insurers so any potential owners should consider this, we would also advise they speak to the vets to gain a better understanding of the issue.

If you are interested in rehoming Sherlock, please fill out the application form below.

Please note: due to limited resources we are unable to get back to everyone. If you do not hear from us you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

Marmalade

By | Cats

Marmalade – Cat Number 1380 – Age (approx) 15 years old – Arrival Date July 2021

Marmalade is an outdoor cat who can be rehomed with children age 10+.

Marmalade is a sweet older chap who is usually very happy to see people and will greet everyone with a beautiful loud purr. He really likes a cuddle and will gently nudge you for more strokes when he’s in the mood for some fuss. He does have the occasional quieter days when he prefers a bit of space instead.

Even though he is an older man, Marmalade does enjoy the odd game of chase with a stick toy or a ball. He is also a big fan of catnip toys! He has shown he has a playful side and may enjoy a wider range of toys when in the home.

Marmalade is a sweet soul with lots of love to give but will need a family that will understand sometimes he would like to have a moment to himself to relax alone – therefore, he may be suited to a home with older children.  He has previously lived with other cats so may potentially get along with another.

If you are interested in rehoming Marmalade, please fill out the application form below.

Please note: due to limited resources we are unable to get back to everyone. If you do not hear from us you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

Gizmo

By | Cats

Gizmo – Cat Number 1380 – Age (approx) 12 weeks old – Arrival Date July 2021

Gizmo is an outdoor cat who can be rehomed with older, cat-savvy children.

Gizmo is a beautiful young queen who is growing in confidence every day. She was very nervous when she first arrived, so she may need time to settle in her new home, for this reason we believe a home with older children would be best. Once Gizmo is comfortable in her surroundings, she really enjoys cuddles and will be happily purring away and even rolling around with her belly up!

Overall Gizmo is a little sweetheart who just needs a bit of time to come get used to new people and places, once she builds trust she will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family.

Please note: due to limited resources we are unable to get back to everyone. If you do not hear from us you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

Thunder

By | Cats

Thunder – Cat Number 1295 – Age (approx) 2 years old – Arrival Date June 2021

Thunder is an outdoor cat who could live with children age 10+.

Thunder is a beautiful young lad who can be initially shy in new environments or with new people, once he susses out that you’re a friend he’s really happy to be fussed. He really enjoys being stroked and will even climb onto your lap to get closer to you.

Thunder would be best suited to a quieter home as he can be shy to begin with, he really comes out of his shell once he knows you and will make a great addition to a household willing to give him a little bit of time to come out of his shell fully.

Thunder has a grade 1 heart murmur. Heart murmurs are quite common in cats, his is on the lower end of the scale and it’s not currently causing any problems but it would be a consideration for his pet insurance options as pre-existing conditions are often excluded. He has also been treated for scabs on his skin when he first arrived in our care, although this is resolved now, it may still affect your pet insurance as a pre-existing condition.

Please note: due to limited resources we are unable to get back to everyone. If you do not hear from us you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
