Diesel

By | Cats

Cat Numbers 1969 – Age (approx) 8-9 years – Arrival Date February 2022

Diesel is an outdoor cat looking for an adult only home. Diesel can’t be rehomed with any other cats.

Diesel came in as a very nervous girl, she was terrified of any new noises or people when she first arrived in our care. She is slowly coming out of her shell and now often sits in the front of her pen watching what’s going on outside. She now loves her head strokes, especially when there’s dreamies involved! Her affectionate side is definitely starting to show, however she will still politely tell us off when she’s had enough. She has a favourite bed at the front of her pen, which just so happens to be in the perfect spot for some sunbathing.

Diesel’s previous home have described her as a quiet and nervous cat who fears strangers, it’s understandable that she is feeling overwhelmed by so many strangers and other cats, with all the unfamiliar sounds and smells of the shelter.

Diesel’s previous home have mentioned that she dislikes men, therefore it may be best if she goes to a female only home to give her a better chance of settling in.

Diesel’s previous owners have provided us with a description of what she was like in the home –

Once she knows and accepts you, she will want to be around you lots. She loves company but is an independent lady so does not like being picked up, however she does LOVE a cuddle and if you lie down on the sofa with room for her to curl up in the nook of your arm, she will want nothing more and might even do her signature move – the ‘upside down head’ when she’s in super happy ball.

Diesel does love a tummy rub and she also loves the simple things, string! Don’t let her looks deceive you, she can be quite playful and agile. If you throw it near her, she will start to engage and gets into it with the occasional weird little back flip.

Finally, she doesn’t like human food much so she doesn’t really beg and is very good at not going on the table. She just likes tuna. She can hear you opening that can a mile off and will be sad if you don’t give her a little bit of the can.”

With Diesel being so nervous we would be looking to place her in a home on foster basis initially to make sure she will be settling into her new potential forever home, and that her new family are happy with her progress and how she is coming around. To prevent the extra stress of moving homes, we are not looking for a temporary foster for Diesel, we ask that you only apply if you have the intention of offering her a permanent home.

Loki

By | Cats

Cat Number 2055– Age (approx) 3 years – Arrival Date April 2022

Loki is an outdoor cat that would like to be in an adult only home.

Loki has taken a bit longer than others to settle into our care, he has initial been very wary and hiding away hissing whenever anyone came into his pen.

He has now started to gain a bit of confidence recently. Even though he can still have a little hiss at first, if you give him time, he will now come out of his hiding spot and turn into a sweet boy who gentle meows at you and follows you around for some strokes. He is still wary of any sudden movements and people he isn’t fully familiar with, but hopefully once he is settled in a new home, he will really be able to find his feet and come out of his shell to the be the loving boy we have started to see.

If you are interested in rehoming Loki, please fill out the application form below.

Molly & Milly

By | Cats

Cat Numbers 2102 & 2103 – Age (approx) 10 years – Arrival Date April 2022.

Molly & Milly are outdoor cats who could live with children age 10+.

Molly & Milly are very friendly girls, always happy to see new faces. Milly is usually the leader first to greet everyone, and Molly will follow after Milly’s lead. Even thought Milly is the more confident of the pair, she is more independent and will only want a fuss when she’s in the right mood. Whereas Molly is always happy to sit alongside you and get some strokes.

Milly likes to eat her meals very quickly so she can hurry over and steal the rest of Mollys food, so any potential homes will have to be prepared to feed the girls in separate areas to make sure Molly can get what’s hers. They are very attached to one another but do have the odd sibling disagreement – but will quickly go back to hanging out along side each other doing their own thing and then come back together for a snooze and a groom.

Milly has a grade 2 heart murmur. Heart murmurs are common in cats, and grade 2 is on the lower end of the scale. Whilst it’s not causing Milly any issues at the moment, please note that if she did need any further heart investigation or treatment in the future, it may be excluded by pet insurance as a pre-existing condition.

If you are interested in rehoming Molly & Milly please fill out the application form below.

Please note: due to limited resources we are unable to get back to everyone. If you do not hear from us you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

Stewie

By | Cats

Cat Number 2122 – Age (approx) 4 years – Arrival Date November 2021.

Stewie is an outdoor cat who could live with children aged 15+.

Stewie is a happy boy who will run up to the front of his pen and meow to see you. He does have an independent side and doesn’t like to be handled very much and would like to be the only pet in the home, as he isn’t very happy having other cats around in the cattery. If you respect his boundaries, he loves to wrap himself around your legs to get purring for attention and some strokes. Stewie has shown a lot of interest in exploring outdoors, so outdoor access will be essential for him. Stewie would be best with older children that are used to some of the boundaries that Stewie may want to have.

Riley

By | Cats

Cat Number 2108 – Age (approx) 5 years – Arrival Date April 2022.

Riley is an outdoor cat who would like to live in an adult only home.

Riley is a sensitive girl that can be very nervous and stand offish around new people, but once she gets to know you and has settled into her environment, she has starts to show her more sweet side and allows strokes and will nudge into your hand.

Riley is looking for a quiet, adult only home that can give her a little time and space to hide away and get comfortable in her new home before she starts to feel confident enough to come out and see people. She does like to jump up on to her window sill to feel safer, so may be helpful to offer her hiding spots at height as well as her ground bed. She hasn’t felt comfortable enough to play in our care, but her previous owner did say she did still play and would chase balls around the house.

If you are interested in rehoming Riley, please fill out the application form below.

Snowy & Autumn

By | Cats

Cat Numbers 2023 & 2024 – Age (approx) 6 years – Arrival Date March 2022

Snowy & Autumn are outdoor cats looking to be rehomed together and can live with children aged 14+.

Snowy & Autumn are a loving pair of cats, who very much enjoy spending time together but are also happy spend time alone and do their own thing. They have lived together their whole lives and have a very typical sibling relationship! They love being outside, but are also still very friendly and affectionate when they are done exploring the outdoors.

Autumn is the more independent of the two, she can be a bit stand-offish as she gets to know you, but once she’s happy she’s a very affectionate girl. Autumn likes to spend a lot of time outdoors hunting. She gets a bit of an advantage hunting wise – thanks to a few extra toes! Once she has returned from one of her adventures, she loves to cuddle up to her humans and sister.

Snowy is also fairly independent, but less so than Autumn. She is quite happy to meet any new people and she loves to follow Autumn around, wanting to be close when Autumn allows it. She can be super cuddly when she’s in the mood for affection and likes to snuggle into you when you pick her up.

Snowy & Autumn are looking for a forever home with lots of rural space to roam, as they love being outdoors for long periods of time. They would also love a family who is happy for them to return home at the end of the day and get lots of cuddles.

If you are interested in rehoming Snowy & Autumn, please fill out the application form below.
